Every discovery sent from a converter and confirmed earns points. The harder a path is to reach, the higher its class.

Discovery classes

Gold

A confirmed discovery: another player found the same path, or it joined a released version.

1 point

Platinum

A rare discovery: found by two or three players, or one that joined a release on a well-advanced game.

5 points

Diamond

On a well-advanced game, the first to find a rare path that then joined a released version.

25 points

A path counts once per player. Discoveries waiting to be checked do not count yet. Points that turn out to be wrong can be withdrawn.

How points add up

Diminishing returns

On each game, your 10 best paths count in full; after that the n-th is worth 10/n. A game converted for the first time brings thousands of paths, so this keeps it from outweighing everything else.

Well-advanced game ×3

A path found on a game the shared knowledge already had is worth 3 times more: those are the hard ones.

Found while playing ×2

Paths your games recorded during play are worth 2 times more than those found by a conversion alone.

Scan level

For paths found by recompiling: quick ×0.5, standard ×1, extended ×1.5, thorough ×2. Longer scans earn more.

Pioneer +10

The first player whose paths are confirmed on a game new to the shared knowledge earns 10 points for that game.
